Yoga for
Women’s Wellbeing
The role of yoga in women’s wellbeing
Yoga isn’t about pushing your body to achieve a ‘perfect’ pose. It’s about developing a practice that supports your entire being: physically, mentally and emotionally. And at Thrive, it’s one of the practical tools you can use to nurture your wellbeing and navigate the changing needs of your body.
Supports hormonal wellbeing
Hormonal health is influenced by many interconnected factors, including stress, sleep, movement and overall wellbeing. Yoga can support this wider foundation for your health by combining mindful movement, breathwork and relaxation to encourage self-care.
Build strength, mobility and body awareness
Yoga can help you develop strength, flexibility, balance and mobility while becoming more aware of how your body feels and what it truly needs. Through this gentle, nurturing practice, you can become more mindful and confident about taking care of your body and self.
Regulate stress and restore calm
Stress can affect how we feel physically and emotionally, as well as our sleep and energy levels. Practices such as restorative and Yin yoga, meditation and breathwork create space to help you slow down, release tension and support better rest and sleep. It’s a great way to regulate stress and restore calm.
Support wellbeing through life’s transitions
Your body and energy change throughout your life. Thrive offers a range of tailored practices that can support women across different life stages, from menstrual cycle awareness and fertility through to pregnancy, motherhood, menopause and healthy ageing.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Can I do Thrive yoga classes, anytime, anywhere?
Absolutely. Your yoga practice can come with you. Join a live class from your living room, log in while you’re travelling, or choose an on-demand practice whenever you have a little time to yourself. Morning, evening or somewhere in between – Thrive is designed to fit around real life.
Do I need to be experienced in yoga?
Not at all. You don’t need to be flexible, know the poses or have practised yoga before. Thrive offers classes for different levels, bodies and stages of life, so you can choose what feels right for you on the day. No pressure. No perfect poses. Just start where you are.
What if I don’t have much time for yoga?
Got 10 minutes? Great. Got longer? Even better. You don’t need an hour-long daily practice to make space for yoga in your life. Our live yoga classes are all 30 minutes – designed so you can fit them into your schedule, whether it’s when you wake up, your lunch break, or an evening wind-down. Choose from a range of live 30-minute classes with our experienced teachers, an on-demand session or simply a few minutes of movement, breathing or relaxation when you need it. A little can still feel worthwhile.
Can yoga support hormonal wellbeing?
Yoga can be a valuable part of a broader approach to hormonal wellbeing. While it doesn’t control your hormones, practices that support movement, relaxation, sleep and stress management can contribute to your overall wellbeing as your body changes. It’s also an opportunity to slow down, tune in and notice what you need.
Does yoga balance hormones?
We don’t believe in promising a quick “hormone reset”. Hormones are complex and naturally fluctuate throughout a woman’s life. Instead, we see yoga as one part of a holistic approach to supporting your wellbeing through times of hormonal change, alongside practices such as mindfulness, Qigong and Ayurveda and, where appropriate, advice from your healthcare professional.
Can I practise yoga during different stages of my life?
Can I practise yoga at home?
Absolutely – that’s one of the joys of Thrive. Roll out your mat in the living room, find a quiet corner in your bedroom or practise from a hotel room while you’re away. You don’t need a studio or a picture-perfect space. Just somewhere you feel comfortable enough to begin.
What’s the difference between Thrive’s live and on-demand yoga?
Want the motivation and connection of practising together? Choose a live class and join one of our experienced teachers in real time.
Need more flexibility? Choose an on-demand class and practise when it works for you.
Or mix and match. Some weeks you may want the connection of live classes; other weeks you may need the freedom of on-demand. With Thrive, you can do both.
What makes Thrive different from a regular yoga platform?
Thrive is about more than following along with yoga classes. It’s a women’s wellbeing platform designed to support you as your body and life change.
Alongside yoga, you can explore Qigong, mindfulness, Ayurveda and expert-led wellbeing education, with content covering different stages of women’s lives. It’s a more holistic way to move, rest, learn and take care of yourself – all in one place.
