Ancient wisdom, made practical for modern life
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian approach to life and wellbeing, with principles that consider nutrition, lifestyle and daily practices alongside an individual’s unique constitution.
At its heart, Ayurveda is about understanding you – your constitution, your current state and the lifestyle practices that may help support greater stability and wellbeing throughout life’s changes.
Through Thrive, you can explore Ayurveda through personalised consultations and expert-led programs covering nutrition, yoga and fertility.

Frequently Asked
Questions
What is Ayurveda?
What is a Dosha?
Vata, Pitta and Kapha are known in Ayurveda as the three Doshas. Rather than simply describing fixed “body types”, the Doshas reflect different qualities and tendencies that can shift in response to factors such as lifestyle, environment and life stage.
Understanding the Doshas forms part of a broader Ayurvedic assessment of both your underlying constitution (Prakriti) and your current state (Vikriti).
Why should I have an Individual Constitution Consultation?
An Individual Constitution Consultation provides a personalised starting point for exploring Ayurveda. Rather than relying on general recommendations, you can work with an Ayurvedic specialist to explore your underlying constitution and current state, and consider lifestyle, nutrition, yoga and wellbeing practices suited to your individual needs.
What happens during a Consultation?
Your consultation focuses on understanding you as an individual.
An Ayurvedic assessment may consider your underlying constitution and current state alongside factors such as your lifestyle, wellbeing, digestion, sleep, energy and other individual characteristics. Your Ayurvedic practitioner can then provide personalised guidance based on your individual needs.
Do I need to understand my constitution before joining an Ayurveda program?
Not necessarily. Some Thrive programs explore the qualities associated with specific Doshas, while others introduce Ayurvedic principles more generally. If you are unsure where to start, an Individual Constitution Consultation can provide a more personalised understanding before you explore particular practices.
Can Ayurveda support women's wellbeing?
Ayurveda takes a whole-person approach and can be explored as part of a wider wellbeing routine throughout the different stages of a woman’s life.
Ayurveda should be viewed as a complementary wellbeing approach, not a replacement for medical care.
Can Ayurveda support fertility?
Ayurveda can be explored as part of a broader approach to fertility wellbeing, focusing on nutrition, lifestyle, movement, rest and relaxation.
Thrive’s Yoga & Ayurveda for Fertility program combines these practices to support overall wellbeing during the fertility journey. It does not guarantee conception or fertility treatment outcomes.
